About the event

Incorporating visual media into the classroom enhances traditional approaches to teaching and learning economics. Well-chosen clips from popular TV shows and movies can effectively illustrate economic concepts, hook students into the material, and support improved student recall.

Join us for a short after-school workshop with visiting professor Jadrian Wooten. His presentation will provide practical tips on incorporating media into your teaching. He will share some of his favorite media resources and walk attendees through the process of clipping and downloading media so they can be embedded in your lessons.

Attendees will receive a professional development certificate for 1.3 hours and resources for immediate classroom use, and still be home in time for dinner!
