Since 2011, there has been a push to investigate economic examples in television shows like Parks and Recreation, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Seinfeld, Shark Tank, and The Office. Each of these shows have independent sites created by economic educators and provide relevant clips that can be used to supplement instruction in a principles of economics course. Some of the sites even include lesson plans and teaching guides for topics. This session looks at various ways of how to incorporate media into the classroom and then spends time investigating features of each site.
